Roy Speckhardt is Executive Director of the American Humanist Association (AHA), 

http://www.americanhumanist.org/  which is the national advocacy organization promoting the idea that you can be good without a god. AHA's Maggie Ardiente will start the discussion by covering the breadth of the AHA's involvement in the legal, political, and public outreach arenas, and then Speckhardt will address the Concord Area Humanists on how we can best build the Humanist movement.

This night's topic will be "The Meaning of Food". We'll talk about food from a Humanist perspective -- it's role in our social fabric, ethical eating, food politics and environmental impact, and so on. Should be a meaty topic!

Jay Wexler is a Professor of Law at Boston University. Jay has a special interest in law and religion and has written a hilarious book called Holy Hullabaloos: A Road Trip to the Battlegrounds of the Church/State Wars . Jay's latest book is called The Odd Clauses , and is about the lesser-known clauses in the US Constitution.
